English language teaching has been playing a dominant role in the curriculum reform as well as social and economic lives of present Mongolia. However, the current research on English teaching and blindly adopting western theory demand Mongolia learn from its own experience and also develop western English teaching theories that innovate and promote its education system and research. This study mainly focuses on how to foster the ideas of Value-based Education for Sustainable Development, more specifically, issues of Sustainability Literacy which have been created by Mongolian nomads into English education reform.
