Илтгэлийн хураангуй: Comprehension is finding meaning from the texts. Obviously,
comprehension is the most important to the development of a student’s reading.
Comprehension is an active process that requires an intentional and thoughtful
interaction between the reader and the text. Before doing comprehension activity, students must develop their
decoding, fluency skill and vocabulary. Vocabulary development is critical to
comprehension. Decoding
is one of the most important foundational reading strategies. If students are
unable to decode words, they cannot apply other reading strategies or
comprehend what they read.
