An English Club as an effective way to reinforce language learning

Илтгэлийн хураангуй: When learning anything, especially when learning English, it is important to have a community. This is why people go to school and want to join other people – a club of other enthusiastic learners. In order to develop students’ language skills, they need increased motivation, support, and inspiration that a community provides. English Club is used for different purposes in different schools. Some schools might use English Club not only for students preparing for contests, but also for fun English activities. An English Club is a place for language learners to use English in casual and much more communicative setting. Nevertheless practicing skills in the classroom is important, it is not like real life. In the classroom, students often tend to focus on one skill and one item. In an English Club, students get a chance to practice many different skills. For example, students will be able to develop their language skills in Movie or Speaking clubs. While the Discussion clubs provide students opportunities to share their thoughts and ideas on any other issues with the club members. To be brief, ideas for running an English Club and suggested club activities as a way of language reinforcement will be presented in this session.
