Өгүүллийн хураангуй: Authors aimed to interpret women’s political participation and representation based on social network theoretical appraoch in this article. Although, women have made great strides forward in obtaining a vote and right to be elected to political offices in many countries, they comprise less than 15 percent of the Members of Parliament, and less than 5 percent of heads of state worldwide. A number of barriers exist to women’s participating equally with men, in the decision making level. One of those barriers is lack of the political information and knowledge. Political information flows through social networks, and in these networks public life is discussed”. Women typically have less information about politics than men do. This gender gap in political knowledge can be explained by any differences in the social networks of women and men.
