of Mongolian chess Chess
is the one of the most intellectual games in the world. Although there are many
opinions about exact origin of the chess, still does not have any evidence. Origin of the chess (shatar) is
still controversial among historians. Some historians say that
the precursors of chess might be originated in India, Arabia and Mongolia and
the game spread
throughout the world in variety of variations. This
study reviewed that how Mongolian life
style influenced on the shapes, moves and rules of the pieces. Most of its pieces are familiar with nomadic life.
For instance, the queen is called Bers, meaning “snow
panther”, may be depicted as a mythical lion or dog, nomadic Mongolians raise them as a guard for their animals. The
western bishop is called Teme, meaning two-humped camel and
knight is a Mori, not
