feminism? What is the feminist research? Who is a feminist researcher? How do
we understand feminist research? These questions and their corollaries are
raised every day, both here and abroad, by scholars, in the press, and in
informal conversation in the class.
In this paper, I argue that this is the case,
and attempt to show that ‚the work of the “feminist subject” described based on
work of Michel Foucault, and John Dewey. While both Foucault and Dewey
emphasize the necessity of problematization, Dewey’s methodology includes focus
on envisioning desired outcomes. Michel
Foucault’s conceptualization of power shifts contemporary feminist thought away
from this binary field of relations towards more fundamental questions about
gender constitution.
