Resume Taxonomic status
of the Bats (Chiroptera:
Vespertilionidae) in Mongolia Ariunbold Jargalsaikhan Department of Zoology and Ecology, School of Natural Science, MSUE. Mongolia is
located in the wide range landlocked plateau of the Siberian forest between
Central Asian Gobi, desert, Steppe and Altai high mountains. In Mongolia has
comprising altogether in 20 species bats in 7 genus of family
Vespertilionidae Gray, 1821 and they are 15% of total mammals. Fewer than
10 species bats distribution marked in the near of the Mongolian border and
most researchers are hopefully new species finding to next field survey. We
need using detailed new methods enable to finding new species and subspecies in
the Mongolia. The
‘IUCN Red List Categories and Criteria were applied to 13 species bats in their
Least Concern (LC), Data Deficient (DD) and some species are no rated in
Mongolia. Farther needs detailed survey of ecology, biology, taxonomy and
distribution of Mongolian bats.
