It aims to answer the question by developing a project that will identify problems on using reporting verbs, especially focusing on meanings and positions of reporting verbs of  Mongolian postgraduate students (n=11), testing the project and discussing its findings.   Concordance data of corpus in pedagogy is able to provide ample opportunities into ‘authentic language input’ and confirms advantages of inductive and deductive language teaching and learning. Although there have not been few initiatives and books about application of corpus approach into language pedagogy, ‘little empirical research’ refers to the efficiency of the approach. The presenters have conducted corpus analysis to explore application of meanings of reporting verbs and positions of reporting verbs in the genre of Literature Review (LR). They have identified and addressed the learners’ problems with the usage of reporting verbs, based on corpus based approach, and designed and implemented project strategies. And it discusses implications of the investigation for writing a LR.
