This work was focused on determination of specific radioactivity of ²³⁸U, ²³²Th, ⁴⁰K and ¹³⁷Cs in soil samples, effective equivalent dose and radioactive background  in Zuunbayan town of  Dornogobi province. We have determined dose rate and specific radioactivity of natural and artificial radioactive isotopes around petroleum exploration field by using the HP-Ge gamma-spectrometer. The results were compared with the world mean value.
